Why a digital warranty
Paper warranty cards get lost, and it is often unclear months later which restoration they cover. A digital record ties the warranty to the specific restoration, issue date and expiry date, and is available whenever it is needed.
The five steps
- Issue: the laboratory issues a warranty for an eligible restoration, with a QR warranty card.
- Activation: the patient scans the QR code and signs in with an email code or Google to activate it.
- Digital record: the warranty — restoration, issue date, expiry and status — is stored in the patient’s account.
- Verification: anyone with the warranty ID can confirm the warranty status online.
- Claim: if there is a problem, the treating dentist opens the claim option; the patient then submits the claim online with photos and a description, and it is reviewed with the dentist.
Privacy
Public verification shows only restoration details — restoration type, issue date, expiry date, status and the laboratory. Patient details are shown only in the patient’s own portal after secure sign-in, and warranty records are not indexed by search engines.
Warranty periods
Warranty periods depend on the restoration type and are listed on the E-Warranty page. All warranties are subject to the applicable warranty terms and conditions.
What dentists need to do
- Hand the QR warranty card to the patient when fitting the restoration
- Encourage the patient to activate it straight away
- Use the warranty ID to verify cover if a question arises later
- If the patient reports a problem, open the claim option for that warranty in your doctor portal
